St Leonard's Practice is participating in the Green Impact for Health scheme - this is a joint venture between the Royal College of General Practice and the National Union of Students. The award scheme tries to encourage practices to be more sustainable and greener for health but also as a business and a community.
To this end we have started to install LED lighting throughout the practice; we have replaced all lighting in our corridors and car park so far.
We have promoted the GSK inhaler recycling scheme (Complete the Cycle) in our waiting room, to our virtual patient group and via our Facebook page.
Our tea and coffee are now both from Fair Trade suppliers and we've recently switched to recycled paper.
We encourage all members of the Practice to reuse and recycle paper and cardboard as much as possible.
You can help us too by providing us with your mobile number and email address so we don't have to send out letters unless it is absolutely necessary.
We hope our patients and the community will benefit from the Practice becoming a greener and more sustainable Practice. For more information visit this website visit this website
